Ok, so I have used Joomla in the past, and I currently am using it on one high-profile Business Directory site that I developed. However, it is no longer my first choice for a number of reasons.

I used to be a DIE-HARD Joomla user. The reason being, it is by far the easiest of all CMS platforms, and the various extensions that are available can really make a site do almost anything that you would need it to do. Out of the box (so to speak) Joomla is pretty basic. It comes with a content interface for blogs, contacts, links, and polls. There are a few other bells and whistles, but the stock setup can get anyone going. But please understand, if you are planning on running a Joomla site, please read this blog and follow a few simple steps that will keep your blog secure and search engine friendly.
