Recycling Electronics – is it Important?
Normally, I’m not someone who really gets involved in debates about recycling. I throw my trash in the trash can, and I get on with my business. Well, lately, I have been becoming more and more inspired to do my part. Not simply because it’s 118 degrees in Phoenix, and I actually have more fear in my shoes melting than global warming, but because I can now see what all the hype is about.
So, to make myself not look like an idiot, I’m going to talk about Electronics Recycling. I don’t have have any cold-hard-facts, but what I do know, is that companies no longer make durable and lasting products. They make products that will be disposable after a year, just so you can go replace it with something else (BTW: that’s not what they meant by “RECYCLE“). This way, it’s a sure-fire way for them to maintain profits over long periods of time and keep the competitive edge that companies used to struggle to maintain.
The problem with this model is that we are forced to recycling.com”>dispose of used electronics. The trash ends up in landfills, and even in the ocean harming surrounding wildlife and the environment. It sucks.
I am going to make a conscious effort to do my part (by recycling electronics), and I hope everyne else does as well.

welcome back…and do your part on as much as you can man, electronics is a great start, but really, how hard is it to recycle and try and use less from this earth, so much of it is a waste, might as well try and live a little less wastefull. If everyone does a little that is a whole lot.
For starters…..recycle electronics, use one napkin when eating out, use your own grocery bags, and use a water bottle instead of plastic water bottles….that doesn’t take much effort to do all that and greatly helps the consumption of wasteffull-ness we as humans do
