FYI, today is my personal equivalent of Twitter‘s “Productivity Wednesday“. I call it, “Totally Taskful Tuesday“. My mission today is to write a bunch of blogs, and get some nice backlinks from my homies on the web (the latter half not pullin through for a brutha, but I choose not to let it bruise my ego). Also, as part of my Totally Taskful Tuesday, I am watching a bunch of video tutorials to help expand my knowledge of things I do not know so well.

I decided to write a review blog on a Web Design Generator called Artisteer. It may seem like common place for me to do this, because I have been writing a few reviews lately, but this one, I cannot pass up. I only do reviews for products and services that I support, so by posting this, it goes without saying that I support this product.

Not everyone has the ability to think of a design and make it a reality. I only know a handful of people who can develope WordPress themes. Well, for those of you who do not know how to create WordPress themes, fear no more. There is a program out there that can do it for you, and it’s easier to use than Microsoft Word.  It’s called Artisteer.

Artisteer allows you to create WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, and other CMS templates easily. All you have to do is adjust the design, and export, and like that, you have a theme that you are ready to use. You can even take it a step further and commercially distribute your themes, you just can’t use their stockphotos if you decide to release a public theme.

There is only one downside:-(. The downside is, if you are one of those fancy shmancy designers who wants to do some crazy shizzle, you are probably going to be disappointed, because it does not have all of the flexibility that you will require to do some really sweet modifications; however, it will give you a great place to start. This software is perfect if you are looking for a professional design with not too many frills.

If you are looking to step into the world of website design, this is probably the fastest, and the easiest way to get your business started. This software is seriously AMAZING!!!

This is my first public theme release, and I’m trying to get some feedback on my theme. I personally think it’s a great theme. It includes one blank logo so you can make any of the changes you need without going through dozens of image files.

Feel free to make any changes and share the changes with others. If there are any major modifications, I would like to see them, and maybe implement some new changes in upcoming versions of this theme.

Known Issues

I know that there are some issues with various PHP versions. I am working on a patch to the ‘functions.php’ file, and should have the updated release finished in the next couple of days. If you know of an easier solution for other users in the meantime, please leave a comment to help out.
