Yes folks, I’m in Vegas again, but this time its for a wedding. I’ve been having a pretty fun time so far. I thought that the trip would suck, but it doesn’t suck, its actually really fun. I’ve already had a couple beers, and I’m rearing to go.
I’m actually sitting in the wedding chapel at Ceasars palace waiting for the boring part to go by. I won’t bore you anymore.
Viva Las Vegas!!!

I’m not usually one to brag about a design that I didn’t do, but today, I’ll make a small exception.
One of my favorite sites on the web is http://1800recycling.com.It is probably the most informative green sites on the web. They have amazing writers who know what they’re talking about, and they post topics in a way that is easy to understand, so I always look forward to read the next days posts. Although it’s one of my top sites online, it had some pitfalls in the past that they fixed with this new design and database increase.
One of the problems that I always faced with the site was the lack of usability. I always wanted to dive deeper into the site, but the site’s navigation would only take me so far, and since they didn’t have a sitemap, there wasn’t another way for me to look around. I was pretty much bound to the 5 available pages of the site.
Needless to say, they fixed the issue 110%. Not only did they add a sitemap, they also added several RSS feeds and categorized content pages. Navigation on the site is a breeze, and now I can finally read some of the older content that I akways wanted to look at.
I can’t give the designer of this new layout enough kudos. Go see for yourself: http://www.1800recycling.com.

This is my 3rd trip to Vegas in 6 months. I love this place, but this trip is different. It’s way harder for me to get pumped about being here. Don’t get me wrong, I’m stoked as hell, but I’ve spent most of my day today working and being productive which is counter-intuitive to what vegas represents. I should be out partying or something.
Tonight should be pretty fun. There are going to be some parties, given I go buy some “acceptable” shoes. I got us rejected last night for wearing sneakers to the club, gay. I had no idea that it was going to be like that, oops. Screw it, I’m at the bar right now drinking a beer, so let the games begin!

So, this is going to be my first time going to PubCon Las Vegas. I’m really excited to see what it’s going to be like. I can only assume that it’s going to be a HUGE learning experience, plus, the fact that it’s in Vegas indicates at least a rating of 7 or 8 on the scale of probable fun times. I’ll be updating my blog frequently this week as I pursue the awesomeness that is PubCon.
The only downside is going to be that I have to be away from my kids and wife for a few days, so that’s going to be rough. I think I’ll manage just fine with all of the distractions that Vegas has to offer.
I hope I see you there!
